Nov so far

So have to say we had a fun 3 days at the Oregon Coast. Thanks Josh and Jenn for having us. We loved the good food and I learned to play Cribbage. Really like that game. It did rain off and on, but my crazy kids could not help themselves from getting into the ocean. Burrr!

I remember saying 2 months ago that once school started and we got into a routine, I would have time to do some things. How wrong I was. Can life get any busier? Needs to slow down! I have so many little projects I want to do. Guess I should start saying once my kids are in college I will have time to do some things. Isn't that funny? I know that wont be true either.

Craziness!

So last week i offered to come to Oklahoma for my mom, and to my surprise she took me up on it! I am here helping Marcie and Reagan pack. Fun times. My kids are staying with my mom. I have to say the little bit I have seen of Oklahoma I like. It has a small town feel. Lots of wide open spaces. I have to admit after tomorrow I will really enjoy being in my bed. I know what tomorrow entails. 2 moms, 3 kids, 6 suitcases, 4 boxes, 3 carry ons, backpacks for all, and 2 airplanes. Could be interesting. Anyway want to take my place? :-)

On a lighter note, I am an Aunt again. Matt and Debbie welcomed Addelyn Lucile on 10-22-10. She weighed in at 7lb 10oz and was 20.5 in long. Yes I got to be there (thanks Debbie for being such a great sis-in-law) One of the doctors at work laughed when I told him I was there to have another niece. He said I needed a new family. I said no I don't it makes it easier so I don't get baby hungry.

Grandpa Bunger

Gramps teaching Brie Dominoes
So we had a touching memorial service for Grandpa Bunger yesterday. It was very nice and I am so thankful for the time we have had living close to them this past year. Grandpa Bunger loved everyone so much. He especially loved having the kids around. He would eat their candy, growl at them, and ask for a kiss frequently. In fact the last thing he said to Bailie was, "give me a kiss!" I will never forget teasing him and him teasing me. I loved the few mornings I got to spend at their place getting to to know him and Grandma. One thing is that I will always remember Grandpa teaching me to play Dominoes 16 years ago. Before you can think about playing he has told you what chips will work. Just 2 months ago he was doing the same thing when we were playing. I wish my brain worked that fast! Love you Gramps! We are better for having know you!

Diabtes Walk

Hey everyone! So I have gotten my act together. Kids came home yesterday with their big packets of school fundraiser stuff and I rolled my eyes and threw them in the trash. Bailie (the smart girl she is) said she didn't even get one because we are already doing a fundraiser for the Diabetes Walk. So my kids are very excited to be trying to raise money for the Diabetes Walk they get to do on Sept 25th. Anyway, here is how you can donate under our name, but online. I will also accept cold hard cash! :) Last year I think Bailie was one of Jenn's top fundraisers. So she is bound and determined to best herself! Thanks for your support!

Go to: http://stepout.diabetes.org at the top of the page click Donate then you enter my name, Michelle Bunger and follow the steps. The kids can get on and see how much has been donated under their name and you can also see under Team Holzer how much everyone is contributing. I have to say I like my kids learning to love a cause and since Jenn is their soon-to-be Aunt I think this will be the one we focus on.

Thanks!

Brianne

So today my little girl turns 7. My how time just keeps getting away from me. Our lives would be terribly boring without Brianne. She keeps us all and everyone around her on her toes. Love you Brie!!!

Welcome September

So September is here and we are getting back into a daily schedule. I am excited and sad at the same time. I guess I should wrap up our month of August. We went camping again. Although, we wimped out and spent the nights at home. I think I was still trying to finish laundry fromt he reunion. I hate laundry! Actually I hate to fold laundry! I can let 5 loads sit in my chair before I decide to fold it. I know, I should just fold it when it comes out of the dryer, but for some reason I don't. Then the kids got to go to horse camp for a week. 7-12. They of course LOVED it. Brennan wants to live their. And Lyndy says she has never had kids who are so willing to clean out the horse stalls. Then came fair! Oh how I love the fair! But it sure is different being the mom. Making meals, getting everyone to the pig barn on time, making all the poster boards. Needless to say it was a learning experience. To top it all off we had a couple pigs die. My kids are definitely learning all about the cycle of life and that those pigs sure will taste good! :) Bailie was so cute showing her pig. Very nervous. She got a red and blue ribbon which she was so happy about. She sold her pig for $6.00 a pound which is awesome! Thanks to dad and Uncle Josh. And of course Blake and Lynn. Then she got Reserve Grand Champion for her quilt she did at quilt camp. She was so happy about that! Fun Fun August. Now we start soccer, fall softball, and piano again! Grateful for a schedule! Hopefully I can find time to work now that all three of the kids are in school all day! Repeat, ALL DAY!!!!

Some interesting stories

So I have a few kinda funny things that have happened this past couple of weeks. First of all, I believe I have mentioned before how much I do not like mice. Well, there was a little mouse in my basement that Lance and I both looked at to see if it was dead. The minute I saw him bend down to pick it up, I ran up the stairs to lock myself in the bathroom. After about 5 min of Bailie and Maddy coaxing me to come out, Lance barged into the bathroom and flung the mouse around the door at me. I really did wet my pants. Bailie and Maddy thought it was hilarious.
Well a couple nights ago Brody, our dog, was barking like crazy. I go outside to see what was up and I hear hissing at the bottom of the outside basement steps. Sure enough a little bull snake had gotten down there. I really hate snakes, even more than mice. Good thing Lance was kind enough to not throw it at me. I am sure I would have had a heart attack on the spot.
So then the other morning woke up to poor Brody with porcupine quills in his face. The kids proceeded to get their B B guns and find the porcupine. Sure enough they found it and chased it up a tree. Somehow it came down and got poor Brody again. A kind neighbor came and killed the porcupine. Then Lance had to knock Brody out so he could pull about 150 quills out of him. Poor dog. Those things are awful.
So are you all thinking Michelle lives with a bunch of rodents? I am starting to wonder myself. I guess I am truly living the farm life.
Another funny story. At our family reunion there was a period of about 10 min or so that Michael and Marie were looking for Jaxon, their 4 yr old. Poor Marie was in tears. We were looking by the water and in the parking lot. Well Marc found him hiding under on of the bunk beds in their cabin. Of course. Well as Jaxon came out who should be following him, but my Brianne. Both of them had mouths full of beef jerky. I should have know Brie would be in the thick of it. After we had all calmed down, it dawned on me that Brie had been missing the whole time Jaxon was and why wasn't I even thinking to look for her. What a mom I am! Obviously the quiet was Bliss!!!
Fun times! I am sure more fun stories to come as we have started walking 3 pigs morning and night and fair will be here in a couple of weeks. Then back to school already! This summer has flown by!

Home

So we made it home from another fun-filled family reunion. Oh how we love McCall. Spent every free moment in the water. Enjoyed renewing friendships and spending time with family we don't get to see a lot. The picture is of everyone that could make it. We are still missing quite a few!

News!!!

So great news! Josh proposed to Jenn Friday night. We are all so very excited. Wedding to come in Jan. Love adding a new sister-in-law to my family. Since I would consider her my friend first, that makes it all the better. Congratulations to both of you!!!

Time is flying by

I know I am not the only one who can't believe summer is going way too fast! And with so much going on every week, school will be here before I know it!
So what have we been doing? Just went camping for 3 days to Hood Park. That was lots of fun, but I have decided I am not much for tent camping any more. I know I am a wimp, but I would love to be there and sleep in a camper rather than outside. The kids do love it though. We also are looking forward to a fun family reunion in McCall. My kids are great ages to do some fun things like that.
All our cousins are here from Texas so we are enjoying a long fun summer with them.
What else? That is about it. Looking forward to fair coming up in Aug. Can't believe I finally have a kid old enough to show this year. Bring on the fun!!!! Yes I know I won't be saying that in a few short years! But for now, I am going to enjoy it.

Champs!

So wow, after a long day, and totally sun burnt, my 8u girls team pulled out 4 great wins to take first in the tournament. I about had a heart attack. But they did it, and this coach was the first one jumping up and down. So proud of them!
Another thing that makes me want to jump up and down, school is out on Monday!!!!

Caught up!!!

So I am feeling so good. My scrapbooking is officially up to date. Can't believe what 2 yrs behind does to me. My house is now put back together and I can get on to the next big project. The problem is, so many to choose from, what to do....?

Quote for today.. Since we are loving watching the college softball championships and in memory of the great John Wooden, in his words..

"Talent is God given...be Humble,
Fame is man given...be Grateful,
Conceit is self-given...be Careful."

12 Days and counting

I think if I am counting right there are 12 Days of school left. This is a big deal for me because my days of half day school are OVER!!! I have to say I am truly happy about this. What does it mean? Probably that I need to work more. But maybe, just maybe, I will have time to do those fun things I want to do. Yes I am selfish!

A great Monday

So today was a pretty crazy day, but I feel like it went way too smooth. School, laundry, piano till 5. Sat in the car at 1/2 hour increments to do homework with kids. Bailie then had a soccer game. She did so good, worked so hard. Had an assist off a throw in and a great save at goalie. Then we ran through the drive though at Panda and headed to Richland for Bailie's first softball game. I get to coach Bailie's team. It is so much fun!!! The girls did so good. I always have a headache and a dry mouth after softball because I am constantly reminding girls of every play. I am not kidding when I say, I LOVE IT! I love those girls and enjoy coaching them. Marie. my sister in law is awesome help. Thank goodness for her and I know Bailie appreciates and will never forget her Aunt that coached her in softball. So the bragging moment, Bailie had an awesome hit to the outfield. What I love is that she grunts like a tennis player when she hits. Tells me she tries hard! Then thanks goodness for Brennan and Brianne who are so willing to help me by being such great kids while I am coaching. They take care of each other and I don't have a thing to worry about! All in all I am going to bed with a big smile on my face!

Ride of her life!!!

This is Bailie and Dallas on Star about a month ago. Bad mom didn't have her camera yesterday. Should have had my video camera!

So yesterday Josh and Jenn brought her horse Star out to our place. You should see my kids climbing all over and loving this horse. It is pretty awesome. And they are bound and determined to wear there dad down until he agrees to get them a horse or two. So they all got their turns and even baby Lakin, who I was watching, got a ride. (I am a terrible aunt and did not have my camera out there.) So Bailie gets on for her 5th or 10th ride and Josh says to her, "Bailie trot." I see the look in her eyes, she wants to go! So without any fear she says, "O.K." and gives Star a kick. Too hard of a kick because off Star goes at a very fast gallop dare I say she was running? All I hear from Bailie is, "MOMMY!" Now I am going to be honest, when I heard that I was a little scared and I felt a bit helpless because I couldn't run to help her. I just kept yelling at her to pull back! And the three of us watched her race away. The darn kid stayed on that horse. By golly I was so proud of her. She got a long ways away and I saw Star slow to a trot and then walk. Once she stopped Bailie got off and started walking her back. Well Josh was headed towards her and I yelled at him to make sure she got back on that horse and rode her back. So sure enough back they come her on Star, and she is smiling with this big old smile and she tell me, "mom the knot came undone." We had forgotten she was just riding with the halter and not the bridle and the knot on the halter came undone. No wonder Star wouldn't stop. Well needless to say she still wants a horse and I think I have a pretty brave girl on my hands. Today she is walking like she rode for hours. She tell me she is sore. But I am sure she would ride again today if Star was here. Thanks Josh and Jenn for thinking of my kids.

Texas 2010

So I got home a week ago from visiting my 2 sisters in Texas. Marcie had her 3rd baby girl. Brooklyn Paige. She is a doll. The one thing we did do a lot of was eat. Oh boy those southerners know how to cook. Great food. Went to all the kiddos soccer games and had great fun just catching up. Thanks to all who helped out with my kids while I was gone. I know they were in good hands!!!!

Poor Me

What is it about today/this week that makes me want to bury myself in my covers and not come out? Unfortunately when you have 3 kids this is hard to do. I don't like the cold wind. I want to watch movies, drink hot chocolate and stay in my pajamas all day. I would gladly keep the kids home to do that with me.
Oh well reality has come. 7 am up and dressed. (if you consider sweats, hat and brushing teeth dressed) Kids to school, me home to laundry and laundry. Pick kids up and off to practice. Not getting home until 6:30 every night may just kill me this month.
I know every mom out there shares my pain. And all things considered I wouldn't have it any other way. I just need my moments here and there to whine and feel sorry for myself. I feel better now. On to more laundry!!!!

I couldn't resist.

So I know it is funny, but since I have been doing some 4-H training, I felt this background fit my life pretty good right now. I am so excited to see how fair and everything will go. I just hope my kids make as many great memories as I have from 4-H.

So I just got back from 7 days to see my sisters and families in Dallas. What a fun trip! Marcie and Reagan had their third girl on March 18th. Brooklyn Paige. And is she ever cute. It sure is hard to get back into the swing of things, but ready for Mon to get here so our schedule can start again. (Sorry Amy, not much piano practice has happened the last couple of weeks.)

I hope everyone has a happy and uplifting Easter Sunday.

Sundays!!!

Oh how I love Sundays! Especially ones that I get to stay home with my kids all day. I have been working more on making meals and I had my nephews around for most of the day. They are so cute! Then the highlight of the day was Uncle Josh brought Jenn's horse Star over. The kids and I fought over who could ride her. It has been 8 yrs since I have been on a horse. Way to long!!!! I love horses and I loved seeing the kids love her. Lance has been working on putting up a pasture and pig pen for the upcoming 4-H project. What a guy!

.http://pics.drugstore.com/prodimg/162546/200.jpgSo trying to get myself geared up for the next 36 hours of no sleep. Have a good feeling this will be my friend. Working tonight and thanks to a wonderful aunt, my kids get to go to Sound of Music. Then tomorrow it is Swine info day from 9-12. Bailie keeps calling it swine flu day. Makes me smile. Then 3 soccer games. Tomorrow night this really good friend of mine and I are going to have a marathon of making freezer meals. Hope she is ready for the mess!!!

Late Nights

So one of the reasons I have such a hard time with night shifts are that for 3 days I don't sleep at night and I am most hungry at 10:00. I do love working nights because I am a night owl, but the eating thing is killing me!!! I want food until about 1:00 a.m. What to go eat now??? More popcorn (my favorite) a Cesar salad mix, or maybe some Triscuits.

Happy Birthday Bailie

So I am saying happy birthday to my beautiful sweet Bailie. Tomorrow she turns 9 yrs old. She asked me to post 9 things I love about her. (There are of course too many to count)

1.) Bailie is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. She is always thinking of others first.
2.) Bailie tries her hardest in everything she does. She is a bit competitive that way. Like her mom.
3.) Bailie loves babies, little kids, being a mom to everyone!
4.) Bailie loves to try new things. She is ready to do it all!
5.) Bailie is a great piano player. Oh how I love to hear her play.
6.) Bailie is a peacemaker. She does not like controversy.
7.) Bailie is independent. She doesn't mind doing things on her own. In fact she prefers it.
8.) Bailie wears her emotions on her sleeve, when she is sad you see it in her eyes, when she is happy, it is contagious.
9.) Bailie is going to do great things some day!!!! She does already!

I love you Bailie!!! Happy Birthday!!!

Check out this blog for a few of the favorites. adayinthelifeofplainolme.blogspot.com Amy did an amazing job and I have literally have about 200 pictures to choose from. Thankyou Amy so much!!! (Or you can just click on the link Cazier Corner.)

Audra JoAnn is on the left and Addisyn Marie is on the right. Can't wait to spend some time with these babies so they can get to know their aunt Shelley.
So what to write about? Bailie tells me that Valentines is the best holiday because it means peace and love to everyone! Got a chuckle out of that, considering Lance and I do not make a big deal out of holidays. So I have come to the conclusion that I feel that any niece or nephew of mine feels like they are my own. Good thing my husband is who he is otherwise we might be starring in 19 kids and counting. (In all actuality I really admire them) I just have to say that all of you who intrust me with your children, they are treated like one of my own. Maybe better, I love so many things about every age. Thankyou for sharing your children with me. I am so lucky. Here are some pictures of my kiddos with the twins, Have to sat, my love of babies has been passed to all 3 of my kids. They are Mackays through and through.

Whatever!

So this is a whatever post. It is midnight and I can't sleep! I am excited because my sister Marcie is coming to visit tomorrow. Haven't seen her forever! Excited because Lance and I are going to cattlemans tomorrow. Always a great time! Excited because I got to hold my new nieces Addisyn and Audra for the very first time. They are beautiful!!! I did get to feed Audra, but otherwise my lovely children fought over who got to hold who. Brie has decided that Addisyn is her baby because she put her to sleep after she was fussing and hungry. She sure knows how to rock and shshsh a baby. For the most part, twins will be a new experience and so much fun! I do have to keep reminding myself that I am not mother to the tribe, but just to my own. Just love them all so much!!!! Hard for me, an oldest child, not to put my two cents in. :) More pictures to come. All in all a fun exciting weekend!!!!

An Aunt again

Audra JoAnn
Addisyn Marie

So I am an Aunt again. x2!!!! Addisyn Marie and Audra JoAnn were born last night. They are a whopping 4lb 9oz and 4lb 1oz. I am so impressed with their weights. They are doing great!!! And after a bit of an exciting night all are doing well. I am so blessed to be able to do what I do. I get to be apart of some many happy moments. And when it is my family it makes it even sweeter. I love that my kids are just as excited as the parents. I cried more telling them than anything. Bailie is been enjoying being big cousin/mother to Avery. The bond those two share is so special. She fed her, bathed her, and slept with her the night before last. I go in at 3 in the morning and Bailie is awake rubbing Avery's back with a big smile on her face. Melts my heart. Anyway, congrats to Jack and Jami! Love you guys!

Randomness

So I am sitting here catching up on a few of my favorite t.v. shows. I want to know what are your favorites? I drive my husband crazy with DVR especially when I have two show recording at once. The more he complains, the more I laugh about it. Yes I know watching the tube is a total waste of time. And if I sat here and listed all the shows I enjoy, I may tell myself I am a loser. Yet, I love primetime tv and I love 1-2 shows every night. So now, tell me our favorites. I want to know! I can not choose one so please list them all. Tonight I am watching 24 and Castle. I have every season of 24. I love it. And Castle is a fun show that makes me laugh.

11 years (give or take)

So Lance and I will have been married for 11 years in 1 hour. I am not going to sit here and convince you that it has been perfect, but I will say this, it has been fun, and sad, and exciting. I knew from the first moment I saw Lance I would marry him. He is my soul mate. Is it perfect? No Is it easy? No. But it is my life and I chose to live it to the fullest. I love him and appreciate him. He has given me the 3 most beautiful children and all that I have and am able to do. Happy Anniversary Lance!!! May there be many more!!!!

Special Girls!!!

So I have to say Happy Birthday to 3 very special women in my life. Starting with...
MY MOM!!! I am so lucky to have the mom I do. I am sure that most people I know feel this way, but I am. My mom is the most talented person I know. She does it all!!! Sews, cooks, she is creative, organized, and the best thing, she loves me and is always in my court. I hope I am half of what she is. I hope my kids think of me as the kind of mom she is to me! She turned 55 last week and she is beautiful!!! Happy Birthday MOM!!!

Lady number 2 is Aunt Connie. Another amazing woman who has taught me so much in my life. She is loyal and real. One thing I love about Connie is that she will tell you like it is. I always know where I stand with her and I appreciate that so much. Another thing I love about Connie is that she is the cleanest person I know. Everything at her house is always put together and I appreciate that. The ironic thing is that when I had 2 babies she was the one to tell me that they will never remember if your dishes or laundry was done. I took that to heart!!! :) Thank you Connie for being a great example to me. Happy Birthday!!!

Last, but certainly not least!!! Happy Birthday to my dear friend and sister-in-law Jami. The big 30. Oh no!!! Be ready now you start noticing the wrinkles :) So Jami is just what I needed in a sister-in-law. I was so happy when Jack and her got engaged 5 years ago. He picked the perfect girl. She is a sister, a wonderful aunt, and a true friend!!! Happy Birthday Jami!

Ladies, no hating the photos. They are perfect!!!

What was I thinking?

So I guess deciding to go to the gym again was not the best idea. I am scared to go snowboarding this year because I am so out of shape and I think that means I will hurt myself BADLY!!!! That means getting into shape will prevent the big accident! Today I am sore because I let Jenn talk me into Body Pump. My poor hamstrings are shakin like crazy. There is a reason for it I just keep telling myself. Besides, those hot ladies at the gym give me hope for myself.

So the other night we went to Josh and Jenn's to play some games and guitar hero. I had to make the kids look like rock stars. It was so much fun. And Bailie can play guitar hero. She doubled my score in no time. Thanks you guys for a great time.

Happy New Year

So had a great night at work last night. Thanks girls for ringing in the New Year with me. I have my computer figured out well enough to be able to upload pictures. So I am going to add some from this fall and the Las Vegas trip Lance and I just took. We had a great time with Josh and Jenn. Did so many things. Went to Brooks and Dunn concert. That was great. Then to the NFR which was a lot of fun. Took in the show Mystere. And we walked and walked and walked. We were there for quite a while, but it really was a great vacation.

Anyway so excited to see what 2010 will bring to our family. Starting basketball here soon. During this time Jack and Jami will be welcoming twin girls. Marcie and Reagan will be adding another girl to their family the first of March. Trying to see if I can head to TX for that delivery. We will see. Fun times!

I hope everyone will have a great 2010!!!
