Loving this Saturday

Today has turned into a great day! Brianne had a soccer game at 9 and then we are done! She is loving soccer. Last night one of her soccer coaches asked her if she broke her leg would she still smile though it. She has so much fun. Yet, we as a family know if she ever broke her leg everyone in a 5 mile radius would know. She sure can scream too! I feel like she is growing so much right now.

Kids have helped me clean the house and then have been outside all day long. Man how I love that they can entertain themselves so well. Needing to get the pig pen set up so we can go get little piggies in the next couple of days. Looking forward to getting ready for fair!!!

choir concert

So the kids had a choir program tonight. I remember thinking that last year the 5th graders were stinkers, but this year I think Livingston will be sad to see them go. Mrs. Wheatly does a phenomenal job!!! She has to be the best music teacher in the Tri- Cities! . Thank you so much for helping my kids grow.

Looking forward to watching Bailie play some softball tomorrow night. Brie has soccer, and even though I am sad to miss it, she is learning so much!

A big sigh

So now that Wednesday and Thursday are here I feel like things are back to normal. As normal as my life can be right now. I am actually learning to have fun in this craziness. Kid are doing great playing one sport. Still doing piano. Have a spring recital we have to get prepped for. I am still trying to find time to work here and there. It always seems to happen so I guess I shouldn't stress too much about it.
One thing I do need to remember is to be thankful for all the things I do have. So many times I am so caught up in what others have that I don't. It can eat away at me and make me feel so bitter. I just need to remember that it isn't about the things. Moments matter!!! And I am I doing all I can to make those moments mean something.

Bragging!

So yes, I am Bragging a bit. The Mackay family did a March madness challenge. We all did it in this house. We entered through Fox sports. Well out of all the people in the world who entered through fox sports I am number 160. Yes I picked the final four. So I am bragging! I really did think about it, and Louisville, my underdog team, has been awesome. Even though I don't get to watch much, I love filling out my bracket every year.

On a even better note, Brennan played in his first baseball tournament this last weekend. It was a wonderful learning experience. Brennan needs the confidence. And they took first place, which is a added perk to a great baseball team. Thank you Pasco Sluggers for allowing him to be part of your team. He is learning so much!

Another fun thing, Bailie played a softball scrimmage last night. Got to see her hit a single and then score on a slide. She tells me she also hit a triple, but from the sounds of it was more on some errors. Who cares? She had a great time! Her team is so fun to watch. They are going to have a really good season.

Last thing. I actually worked a full 12 hour night shift last night, and survived!!!! I haven't done one for a while. The reason I did was for Jessie. I just hope baby Hannah makes her debut soon. Can't wait to meet her! Love my job!

A new Addition

Maylee Grace Stevens came into the world yesterday March 20th 2012 at 5:53 p.m. She weighed 7lb 5oz and was 20.5in long. We all could not be more excited. My Bailie has a really great friend named Maylie Grace so she is especially excited. In fact, she asked Marcie and Reagan if we could have her. We were shot down very quickly! Marcie did so good, were very excited to have my good friend Shannon take care of her. She is the best!!!! Then to have Dr. H deliver this one made it even more special. Dr. H has delivered 15 of my parents 17 grandkids. That is so amazing and he has taken great care with every one of them. Reagan described him best. Maylee didn't cry too fast and he said he wasn't worried cause Dr. Hernandez wasn't worried. His calming presence is felt by all! And I have to say, much of the nurse I am today is because of him. So Thank You Dr. H!!! Glad to have a new niece to the family. Can never have too many nieces or nephews in my book!

Weekend

Loving this weekend of nothing to do. So many things I need to be getting done. I need an organizational expert to come to my house. I am a bit overwhelmed by taking on this project. Honestly I feel like I need to pack it all up and move out then move back in. I know it sounds crazy, but I think that would work the best for me.
Looking forward to this week. Get to welcome another niece into the world. Should be fun!!!
Also kids have half days this week. Along with conferences. Don't know if I am looking forward to those or not. Going to be busy and fun!

Almost a year!

So I was going to try and wait one full year before blogging again since it had been so long. But then there is so much going on. My kids are so busy! Is this good or bad? Huge discussion in the Bunger household. At least only one child is doing 2 sports. The one "sport" I have not relented on is that all three kids will do piano. I am a firm believer in that the kids should play a musical instrument. I am frequently told by many that they never should have quit playing the piano. I tell Brie all the time, you will quit soccer before piano! I guess the thing I struggle with is having a kid that CAN do it all!!! Plays the piano beautifully, plays shortstop for her softball team, and practices basketball at least twice a week. Her I expect it out of. The other two I am consciously aware of the fact that they don't do things like their sister, but are just as important. In fact, I was telling my sister-in-law the other day that I am very happy that they don't have that pressure she has. They wouldn't thrive. Goes to show all kids are unique. And I have to thank Jami for making me realize this. Otherwise I would be one of those moms that made sure ALL of my kids were the smart kids. The best compliment was given to me by Mrs. Vandervert, She told me my daughter was "down to earth." Don't want the smartest or brightest kid, just one that keeps his/her class grounded. Bailie does that! Brennan gets and plays into his teacher's sense of humor, and Brie helps her teacher keep track of those kids that need help too. Sooo love my kids and the values they bring to their classes. And for now, until we figure out the time thing, we will be doing basketball, soccer, baseball, softball, and of course piano!!!
